IPTV Not Working? Fix Buffering, Freezing and Playback Problems
If IPTV stops working, first determine whether the problem affects one device, one app, your whole connection, or the service itself. Test your internet connection, restart the device and app, and compare playback on another supported device before changing settings.
Quick IPTV Troubleshooting Checklist
- 1
Check your internet connection
Open a website or another streaming app on the same device. Run a speed test if you can. - 2
Restart the IPTV app
Fully close it (not just back out of it), then reopen. - 3
Restart the device
Unplug TVs and streaming sticks for 30 seconds, standby is not a full restart. - 4
Restart the router if necessary
Useful if other devices are also slow. Allow a couple of minutes for it to reconnect. - 5
Test another supported device
If a phone works but the TV does not, the issue is probably the TV or its connection. - 6
Check your access details are valid
Make sure you are not still using expired trial details and that the subscription is active. - 7
Contact support if every device is affected
See what to include below.
IPTV Keeps Buffering
Buffering means the player is receiving data more slowly than it plays it. Common causes:
- Weak Wi-Fi, walls, floors and distance cut speed sharply. Switch to 5 GHz if your router supports it.
- Network congestion, busy evenings or several people streaming at once in the home.
- Distance from the router, move the router or device closer, or use a mesh point.
- Device performance, older sticks and TVs can struggle with high-resolution streams. Try a lower quality setting.
- Background downloads, game updates, cloud backups and large downloads compete for bandwidth.
- Wired Ethernet, where practical, a cable to the TV or box is the most dependable fix.
IPTV Freezes Every Few Minutes
Regular freezes at similar intervals often point to the device running short of memory or an unstable Wi-Fi link. Clear the player's cache, close other apps, and restart the device. If your player has a buffer size setting, try a larger buffer. If it only happens on one channel, try a different channel before assuming the whole service is affected.
IPTV App Will Not Open
- Restart the device and try again.
- Check for an app update in the official store.
- Clear the app cache (Android TV and Fire TV: Settings → Applications).
- Reinstall from the official store as a last resort, have your access details ready.
Login Details Are Not Working
Check for typing errors, usernames and passwords are usually case-sensitive and a stray space breaks them. Confirm you are using the subscription details rather than old trial details, and that the server address was entered in full. If it still fails, contact support; do not share the details publicly.
IPTV Works on One Device but Not Another
This rules out the account and the service in most cases. Compare the two devices: are they on the same network, the same player app and the same app version? Update or reinstall the player on the device that fails, and check its network connection separately.
IPTV Works on Mobile but Not Smart TV
Phones often sit closer to the router and have newer Wi-Fi hardware than TVs. Try a wired connection to the TV, update the TV software, and check the player is still available in your TV's store. Brand-specific tips are in our Samsung TV guide, LG webOS guide and Fire TV guide.
Picture Works but There Is No Sound
- Check the TV or soundbar is not muted and the correct output is selected.
- In the player, switch the audio track or audio decoder (software/hardware) if the option exists.
- Try another channel, a single channel may use a different audio format.
- If using a soundbar or AV receiver, test with TV speakers to isolate the issue.
When the Problem Is Probably Not Your Internet
If other streaming apps and websites work normally, several devices show the same problem at the same time, and restarting everything has not helped, the issue is more likely on the service side. That is the point to contact support rather than keep changing settings.
When to Contact Support
Contact our support team and include:
- Your device type (for example, Samsung TV or Fire TV stick)
- The app or player name
- Whether another device works
- Whether other internet services work
- The approximate time the issue started
- Any error message displayed
Never send your password in a public message. Support will tell you how to verify your account safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does IPTV buffer in the evening but not during the day?
Evenings are when home broadband and Wi-Fi are busiest. Other devices streaming or downloading on your network, plus general congestion, can reduce the bandwidth available to your player. A wired connection and pausing large downloads usually help.
Will a VPN or different DNS fix buffering?
Not reliably. They change how traffic is routed, which can help in some situations and make things worse in others. Check your connection, Wi-Fi and device first.
Should I reinstall the IPTV app?
Only after restarting the app and device, and clearing its cache if your device allows it. Reinstalling removes your saved profile, so have your access details ready.
